Joy and Fellowship
1 John 1:1-2:2 (April 11, 2021)
Easter joy should last longer than the sugar rush we experience when we eat too much chocolate on Easter Day! In 1 John 1:1-2:2 the apostle writes about joy that will sustain a person through challenging times. That joy comes through fellowship with God and fellowship with other believers. Fellowship with God is easier to maintain during a pandemic than fellowship with others. How can you contribute to the latter so that you and others will experience joy in spite of the challenges caused by this pandemic?
Do You Know Who You Are?

Where do you get your sense of identity? From your family? From your work? From your culture? In 1 Peter 2, the Apostle Peter wrote to Christ followers who were scattered and persecuted. This Apostle of Hope wrote to them to remind them of who they were in Christ. He gave them 3 titles which are true for everyone who calls themselves a Christian. Understanding these titles will help you stand firm while you face challenges in your life today.
